Wilsden Juniors FC have won their bid for £1000 funding to assist with providing football opportunited for women and girls in the Wilsden, Bingley and wider community areas.

This money will be used to push forward with plans to establish the first ever Wilsden Juniors Girls team, building on the success of the Wilsden Wildcats football for girls aged 5-11 year old.

The money will also go towards, training facilities, equipment and renovating the facilites already at the club to ensure these are up to standard for use by women and girls who are attending training, matches or watching their friends and family at the club.

The club need volunteers to assist with this, whether that be coaching or joining the committee, and are keen to involve more women in this.

Further to the £1000, funding has been granted for two places on the inital coaching courses - Introduction to Football for women interested in getting involved in coaching.
